Capability

Portals and apps, from browser to home screen.

Your customers should not need to phone your front desk to check a status. We build the customer and patient-facing layer of your business: portals, self-serve accounts, and apps people install straight from the browser, without an app-store project standing in the way.

When you need this

You can hear it in the phone calls.

  • Your phone line is your portal. Customers call to ask whether something is ready, what a result means, or where their order stands. Your staff answer the same questions all day instead of doing the work.
  • People hand-deliver paper you produced. Reports, results, and confirmations are printed, collected in person, or read out over the phone, because there is nowhere for the customer to see them.
  • You were quoted an app-store project. You asked for "an app" and got an estimate for iOS plus Android plus a backend, when what your customers actually need is something they can open, install, and trust from any browser.
  • Your data serves you but not the public. The information exists inside your systems, but the people who need it, whether customers, partners, or other software, have no clean way in.
How we've applied it

From a clinic's front desk to a national trade service.

Understandata delivery

A patient app installed straight from the browser

For a private clinic laboratory in Southeast Europe, we built the patient-facing side of a live clinical laboratory system: patients open a link, install the app from the browser to their home screen, and read their lab results there, with plain-language AI explanations alongside the clinical values. A slim iOS app covers the devices that can't install from the browser. No app store, no download friction, no re-keying by staff.

Outcome: the front desk stopped reading results over the phone. Patients open them from their home screen — and we run the platform behind it.

Team track record

Public APIs and UI for a national trade service

On a UK government tax & customs platform, we architected the data layer behind the goods-categorisation service that underpins post-Brexit Northern Ireland trade, and exposed it to the outside world through public APIs and a public UI. Working directly with policy makers, we translated new UK/EU trade legislation into features people could actually use.

Outcome: a national service reachable directly through public APIs and a public UI, instead of phone calls and paperwork.

How an engagement works

We start small, ship something real, then you decide.
